Digital and Data
The Digital and Data business unit defines and delivers the digital products and services used by students, providers, advisers, and commercial partners, as well as the underlying technology platforms that enable these products to be developed in a responsive and agile way.
Through the development and support of our underpinning data platform the business unit ensures that our data is curated and made available for use both by our analytical reporting and our data products and insights teams.
Working in multi-disciplinary teams comprising customer insight, product managers, architects, developers, testers and data scientists, the Digital and Data business unit ensures that UCAS is a customer centric, product-focused digital business, connecting students with their next opportunity.
The IT Service Analyst reports to the Head of Technology Service Management and is accountable for overseeing all activity within the Operations non pay budget, ensuring that forecast spend is maintained and opportunities to reduce spend are identified and implemented.
Key accountabilities:
- Accountable for overseeing, managing and tracking the usage of the IT non pay services within the operations non pay budget.
- Oversight of all non-pay IT contracts within the budget and an understanding of what and how those services are consumed.
- Through knowledge of alternative technologies and different ways of using existing technology, identify, lead and deliver improvements in managing our IT estate.
- Using your understanding of how technology works and how we use it, engage key stakeholders across UCAS, such as Commercial, Technology and our prime supplier, to identify and deliver more efficient use of these services throughout the year.
- Challenge and engage with our prime supplier and 3rd parties at a technical level to understand what could be improved in how our existing services are delivered and work with others to deliver those changes.
